The New Hyde Park Volunteer Fire Department consisted of three engine companies (Enterprise 171, Protection 172, Estates 173), one rescue company (Rescue 174), and one ladder company (The Active Hook & Ladder 175).
The New Hyde Park Fire Department protects a diverse residential as well as commercial community. The New Hyde Park Fire Department department consists of over 150 members and a host of fire fighting, rescue and medical equipment. We responded to over 1200 emergency calls last year alone.
